What is the best choice for inducing labor?

I'm 40 weeks & (if I make it until then) being induced next week. I've tried ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING to start labor from home but nothing has worked. I'm curious about my options for induction & I would love to hear from some mommies that know from experience which ways are less stressful & painful for the baby & I. Please help me out! Thanks.(:
